Whether you have snow on the ground or not, now is the time to start looking for Sister Chickweed hiding the in shaded moist areas of your yard!  I've been keeping a pot of the sweet greens blooming in my window for constant pruning and adding to salads.  Revisit my profile of Chickweed here.

Are you familiar with Elizabeth Gowing and her wonderful blog, 100 Days of Honey?  The author has beautiful tales of traveling around Kosovo and tasting different honeys straight from the hives.  She shares her experience, and delectable recipes, such as Irish Honey Mousse!

Mountain Rose Herbs has announced their three non-profit organizations that they will support this year.  Visit their recent blog post to find out more about Friends of Trees, Long Tom Watershed Council, and Predator Defense.

Checking in...Anyone here?

I read Walt Whitman to Asheville on Banned Books Day
Howdy, beautiful readers.

I've been away from this blog, enjoying life.  The Pixie's Pocket shop is mostly empty of items, and I have been focusing my energy elsewhere.  I have found that juggling a full time job, a full time relationship, a social life, and theatrical pursuits are much easier without the obligation of a full time shop!

I do have divination services available on the site, both the junk oracle and a tarot readings.

I am not vending with the YMCA market this year, but I encourage my local Asheville readers to go take advantage of the weekly market and awesome vendors!

Well, I do have to admit that making things in the kitchen without having to document it for the blog has been nice.  Not paying as much attention to social media/promotions has also been good for my brain.

My blog here will continue to be updated as I have other things to discuss, but I can't promise regular posts. Right now, Eric and I are on a sugar and wheat-free diet...boy, do I miss my booze!  But only 8 days in, my skin is already clearer, I'm better hydrated, and my gastro-intestinal system is quite happy with my decision to try this shift.

Be well, enjoy the post-apocalyptic bliss, and keep on keeping on!
