October Mornings

Sol, by Amber Shehan
It is truly October.

I woke this morning to blue light filtering in my window, mist and dew clinging to the dying pokeberry bushes outside. It was a sweatshirt morning, a full pot of coffee morning, and a get something on the stove kind of morning.

Currently, there is a pot full of Cocoa Honey starting to work it's melting magic in the kitchen, and then it will be Ginger Honey for my folks fighting colds. I'm thinking of making a seasonal Elderberry Honey for the sneezes and snorts of winter. There's a sick little girl on the couch, healing from a tonsil infection who's going to get some nice, soothing elderberry tea once the kettle starts to sing.

*yawn*
*stretch*

Good morning, world.
